Lawrence takes series finale from Grinell baseball team in rain-shortened affair
GRINNELL, Iowa 鈥� Grinnell College and Lawrence University did battle on the baseball diamond Sunday, but in the end Mother Nature was the winner. The third and final game of the series was called entering the seventh inning due to an unplayable field at Pioneer Park with the Vikings being awarded the 4-2 victory. What began as sunny but windy conditions quickly eroded into gray skies and an eventual downpour that halted action in the fifth inning.
