Knox Softball Earns Sunday Split in Beloit
The Prairie Fire softball team continued its road swing Sunday, ending its four-game, two-day trip with a doubleheader split against Beloit. Knox (6-16, 1-5) was able to claim the second game of the double-dip, 9-8, after dropping the opener 9-0. In the victory, Knox had a quick start, scoring four runs in the top of the first. Kylie Thomson started the scoring, singling home Cheyanne Merkel, who tripled to start the rally. Brenlie Bartlett then picked up an RBI, singling home Thomson.
