Golf In 4th After Opening Round Of Conference Tournament
By: Morgan Sheehan, Assistant AD/Communications & Strategic Initiatives SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Catherine DeSiena carded a 3-over-par in the first round of the Conference Carolinas Tournament on Sunday at The Carolina Country Club to position the UNC Pembroke golf team in fourth place. DeSiena (+3) is in a five-way tie for seventh place after the first round and sits just four strokes behind Ella Wiklander of Belmont Abbey who is leading the individual tournament. Marta Ortega (+4) is tied for 12th place, while Maya Fitzgerald in among an eight-way tie for 23rd place after carding an eight-over-par to start the tournament....
