Fast Start Propels Hawks to 7–5 Win Over Stony Brook
WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. — Monmouth softball capped its series against Stony Brook s with a 7–5 win on Sunday at a packed Youth Day crowd at MU Softball Park. Stony Brook opened the scoring with a first-inning home run, but Monmouth answered immediately, tying the game at 1–1 on an RBI double by Mackenzie Bloss. The Monmouth Hawks took control in the third inning. Dominique Lopez sparked the rally with an RBI triple, and Gianna Stern followed with a two-run double to score Bloss and Ella Stevinson.
