Eagles Fall To Delaware State In Series Finale
CARY, N.C. – North Carolina Central closed out its weekend series against Delaware State with a 3-1 softball loss at Thomas Brooks Park on Sunday. The game was scoreless until the sixth inning when the Hornets took a 3-0 lead on a bases-loaded, two-out triple. Izabella Chavez drove in NCCU's only run in the sixth inning. She scored Tyler Suttles on a sacrifice fly after Suttles led off with her MEAC-leading sixth triple of the season.
