Women鈥檚 Track & Field: Fox, Ellis Among Top Performers at UW-Platteville
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Macalester College sophomore Kate Fox (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt) and junior Samantha Ellis (Intervale, N.H./Gould Academy) competed in the 5000 meters at the UW-Platteville Invitational Friday night. The event, one of the top 5000-meter races in Division III, included seven heats and 197 finishers. Fox posted a personal-vest time of 17:20.56 to take 10th in her heat and 31st overall. The time ranks fourth on Macalester’s all-time performance list behind former All-Americans Julia Kirtland ’87 , Kimber Meyer ’17 and Linda Zeman ’84 .
