Women鈥檚 Outdoor Track & Field Concludes Day 1 of Al Owens Classic
ALLENDALE, Mich. — The Wayne State University women’s outdoor track and field squad had competitors in three events on Friday at the GVSU Al Owens Classic. Junior Nicole Warren won the triple jump with a season-best mark of 11.36m. Sophomore Ania Toboy led the throwers by placing fifth in the hammer with a best distance of 42.88m. In the javelin, freshman Ella McCarty was the runner-up with a mark of 38.01m. On Saturday, field events begin at 11 AM with the shot put, discus, long jump and high jump.
