Watcke and Papanikolas Wrap Up Competition for Villanova at Duke Invitational
DURHAM, N.C.鈥� Junior middle distance runner Dan Watcke (Hinsdale, Ill.) and freshman thrower Yianni Papanikolas (Toms River, N.J.) were in action for Villanova as the team wrapped up two days of competition at the Duke Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The pair competed in the 800 meters and the shot put at Morris Williams Stadium. Watcke opened his outdoor season in strong fashion with a third place finish out of more than 100 runners. He posted a time of 1:47.93 which is the fastest outdoor season opener of his career and nearly identical to his season-opening time of 1:47.95 last season....
