Track & Field Competes in Opening Day Events of the Platteville Invitational
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Dubuque men’s and women’s track teams competed in the 5000 meters and hammer throw events on day one of the Platteville Invitational. On the men’s side, multiple runners competed int he 5000 meters. Anthony Carney Jr. was the Spartans’ top performer in a field of over 300 competitors. Carney set a personal best time of 14:34.08, beating his previous time by 10 seconds to finish 40th.
