Thoroughbreds nearly come back in game two but settle for split at Union after putting up 13 in opener
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Skidmore College softball team picked up its first Liberty League win of the year in game one of a Saturday doubleheader at Union with a 13-8 victory over the Garnet Chargers. In game two, Skidmore put the tying run on third with one out trying to complete a three-run comeback, but was unable to knock in the run and settled for a split. Game 1 – Skidmore 13, Union 8 Skidmore scored seven runs over the final two innings and weathered a five-run Garnet Charger bottom of the seventh inning for the win in the opener.…
