SLU Evens Series with 10-5 Win Over Islanders
HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team picked up a 10-5 win Saturday over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field, evening up its three-game Southland Conference series with the Islanders at a game apiece. Southeastern (22-14, 11-6 SLC) built a 6-0 lead through five innings behind the shutout pitching of Lakin Polk . The native of Ponchatoula, Louisiana held the Islanders (16-18, 5-11 SLC) to a pair of hits through the first half of the game.
