On Parrella鈥檚 Day, Mennella Delivers Historic Performance in Hofstra Win
Hempstead, NY – On the day Hofstra Athletics and the women’s lacrosse program retired the jersey of Alyssa Parrella, the Pride’s Nikki Mennella reminded everyone of her greatness as well. Mennella poured in an extraordinary 11 points on seven goals and four assists, while also adding five ground balls in Hofstra’s 22-11 win over Monmouth on Saturday afternoon at James M. Shuart Stadium. The 11 points tied Mennella’s career high, ironically set at Monmouth last season.
