No. 61 women’s tennis extends winning ways to nine with sweep at Shenandoah

WINCHESTER, Va. – No. 61 women’s tennis won its ninth straight match as it swept Shenandoah University on the road, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon. Averett (11-2, 7-1 ODAC) won all three doubles matches with four combined games dropped for the first point. The Cougars proceeded to run through singles with quality wins across the board. Averett won all six matchups across the board to remain unblemished. Senior Harshri Asher won her team-leading 14th match versus Shenandoah’s (4-9, 2-4 ODAC) Erin Talko, 6-3, 6-1.
