No. 21 Women鈥檚 Tennis Storms Back to Defeat No. 26 Mary Washington
SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The No. 21 Swarthmore College women’s tennis team made a late comeback to defeat No. 26 University of Mary Washington, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon. The Garnet were trailing 3-2 with a pair of matches remaining, but swept the remaining contests to steal a victory. Uma Pogrebivsky and Kathleen Shiffer played heroes with wins at sixth and fourth singles, respectively. Shiffer was responsible for clinching duties, handling her opponent in a pair of tiebreakers.
