Men鈥檚 Track & Field: Scots Battle Rain at Bethel Invitational
ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – The Macalester College men’s track & field team competed at the Bethel Invitational on Saturday and posted several solid performances despite the rainy conditions. The meet was halted with a handful of events remaining. On the track, sophomore John Irhke (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North) led the way with a third-place finish behind two Division I runners from St. Thomas. Ihrke’s time of 1:54.27 is the fastest time in the MIAC so far this season. Senior Jay Lebakken (Minneapolis, Minn./Edina) finished eighth in the 1500 meters in 4:14.00.
