Li Atop Leaderboard, Women’s Golf Second After Day 1 at Rutgers
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The University of Pennsylvania women’s golf team had a solid first day at the Rutgers Invitational, with freshman Mi Li atop the individual leaderboard and the Quakers second behind only the host Scarlet Knights out of 16 teams. Results (Clippd.com) Penn shot 303 in Saturday’s first round, then carded a 298 which was the best team score in the afternoon’s second round. As a result, the Quakers are at 33-over-par 601 heading into Sunday’s final round, just three strokes behind Rutgers (294-304—598, +30). Dartmouth is third, nine strokes behind Penn.
