Leatherneck Softball Drops Doubleheader at UT Martin
MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois Softball (10-24, 5-11 OVC) dropped its doubleheader OVC matchup against UT Martin Saturday afternoon at Bettye Giles Softball Field. The Leathernecks dropped the first game to UT Martin 2-0 in a low scoring contest that saw both teams total 4 hits a piece. The deciding factor in the opening contest was in the 3rd inning when UT Martin’s Kennedy Brown stole home for the first run of the game followed by a sacrifice fly from Avary Makarewicz to make the score 2-0.
