Late Surge Lifts Tennis Past Rhode Island
Trailing 3-0 on the road, the George Washington tennis team used late singles wins by Alexandra Lindqvist , Karen Verduzco , Madison Lee and Devika Manu to secure a clutch 4-3 win in the team’s penultimate match of the regular season. Rhody jumped ahead early, taking two of the three doubles matches for a 1-0 advantage. Solange Skeene and Victoria Sasinnka teamed up for GW’s lone win, a 6-4 victory in the second flight.
