Kozak and Fairbairn Lead No. 22 Softball to NEWMAC Sweep of Coast Guard on Alumnae Day
WORCESTER — The No. 22 WPI softball team swept a NEWMAC doubleheader from Coast Guard on Saturday at Rooftop Field, taking game one 10-5 before completing the sweep with a 4-1 victory in game two. The Engineers improve to 23-1 (9-1 NEWMAC), while the Bears move to 12-10 (6-4 NEWMAC). WPI totaled 14 runs on 20 hits across the two games while celebrating Alumni Day, highlighted by a pregame recognition of the 2016 NEWMAC Championship team.
