Houston Falls After 1st Inning Production

HOUSTON – The Houston Baseball team scored two runs in the first inning but dropped its Friday night game to BYU, 6-2, at Schroeder Park. Houston (16-17, 3-11 Big 12) took a 2-0 lead in the first inning thanks to a bases clearing two-run double off the bat of first baseman Cade Climie . Right-handed pitcher Kendall Hoffman (1-4) had a strong first five innings with a season-high six strikeouts but ran into trouble in the top of the sixth inning.
