Grove City wins twice at Westminster meet
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. — Senior Audrey Karwowski (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) and junior Cayla Lawrence (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) earned wins in middle distance events Saturday to highlight a strong day for the Grove City College women’s track and field team at the Westminster Invitational. Karwowski won the 800 meters in a time of 2 minutes, 15.70 seconds while Lawrence posted a winning tim of 4:46.70 in the 1500. Lawrence edged sophomore teammate Julianna Lindberg (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) in the 1500 as Lindberg recorded a runner-up time of 4:48.90. Lindberg also took third in the 800 (2:18.13).
