Gonzalez Claims School Record as Track and Field Finds Success at Greenville Select
GREENVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University track and field teams picked up four individual wins, all in field events, Saturday, April 11 at the Greenville Select. In a successful day for IWU, 37 Titans set career-bests in their respective events. Senior Gavin Gonzalez (Mattoon, Ill.-Mattoon) highlighted the day for the Titans, breaking a 31-year old school record in the men’s javelin. Gonzalez threw for 60.87m, which broke John Munch’s school record of 60.30m set in 1995.
