Engineers Suffer First League Blemishes at Ithaca
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) softball team dropped a Liberty League doubleheader at Ithaca this afternoon at Kostrinsky Field, falling 5-1 in game one before a late comeback bid came up short in a 5-4 setback in the finale. Ithaca struck early and used a pair of extra-base hits to build a cushion before RPI got on the board in the seventh of the opener.
