Engineers Start Big Three-Game Series at Clarkson
POTSDAM, N.Y. 鈥� The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) baseball team began a three-game Liberty League weekend series at Clarkson today with a 7-3 setback before falling 4-3 in 11 innings at Jack Phillips Field. RPI struck first in the opener, as Andrew Crux singled and Ben Belliss ripped an RBI double to drive him home for a 1-0 lead in the top of the first. The Engineers manufactured another run in the fifth to regain the advantage after Clarkson tied it in the third.
