Campbell suffers setback to Hofstra
HEMPSTEAD, NY – The Campbell softball team dropped the second game of its three-game road series against Hofstra, 9-7, at Bill Edwards Stadium. Campbell's offense carried over its momentum from Friday, scoring four runs in the opening inning. Sophomore Emma Slutzah led off with a single, and senior Charlie Montgomery followed with an RBI double down the left-field line to open the scoring. Freshman Kylie Specht added a two-RBI triple, and junior Madison Ford lifted a sacrifice fly to give the Camels a 4-0 lead after the top of the first.
