Baseball swept in doubleheader against Lynchburg
LYNCHBURG, Va. 鈥� Averett University baseball dropped both games of an ODAC doubleheader to No. 2 Lynchburg on Saturday. Averett (12-17, 5-10 ODAC) came up short against No. 2 Lynchburg (24-3-1, 12-0-1 ODAC), falling 12/0 in Game 1 and 14-4 in Game 2. In the opener, the Cougars were limited to four hits as Lynchburg built an early lead with five runs in the first inning and never looked back.
