Wolves Baseball Falls to Wingate, 4–2, in Series Opener
WINGATE, NC – Newberry dropped game one of its SAC series at Wingate, falling 4–2 Friday afternoon at Ron Christopher Stadium. The Wolves scored both of their runs in the third inning but were unable to answer a three-run fifth from the Bulldogs despite limiting Wingate to seven hits in the contest. Luke Compton led the Wolves offensively with a double, an RBI, and a run scored, while Nick Foster, Bryson Nuckols, and Cody Bradt each added hits as Newberry finished with four on the day.
