Weber State opens series against Portland State with doubleheader sweep
HILLSBORO, Oregon - Weber State softball opened the weekend, sweeping the Portland State Vikings in a doubleheader at Hillsboro Ballpark. Game One: Weber State 3, Portland State 2 (8 Inn.) The Vikings struck first in the opening inning, plating two runs on an RBI single and a bases-loaded walk to take a quick 2-0 lead. Weber State starter Cali McCraw worked through the early traffic before Kendall Freidinger entered in relief and settled the game down.
