Softball Wins Series Opener Over ECU
DENTON 鈥� Anneca Anderson tossed a seven-inning complete game as Mean Green softball captured a 5-1 win over ECU at Lovelace Stadium on Friday night. Anderson (W, 11-4) led UNT (23-18, 12-4) to its fifth American Conference series opening win of the season as she struck out five East Carolina (24-19, 8-8) batters including inning-ending strikeouts in the fifth and sixth. She collected career win No. 25 in a Mean Green uniform as she tied for 10th place on the program’s all-time career leaderboard with current pitching coach McKenzie (Wagoner) Onyango.
