Softball posts shutout of St. Thomas to kickoff series
ST. PAUL, Minn. — Omaha Softball used a four-run fourth inning to take command of a 4-0 win over St. Thomas on Friday in a matchup of the top two teams in the Summit League. Omaha (25-7, 7-0 Summit) stretched its winning streak to nine games, while St. Thomas (24-11) fell to 5-2 in conference play. Omaha ace Maddia Groff allowed only singles in the fourth and seventh innings as the left-hander threw a two-hitter with seven strikeouts.
