Smith Breaks Long Jump Program Record to Highlight Day One at RPI Under the Lights & Alumni Meet
By: Dawnisha Franklin, Athletic Communications Associate TROY, N.Y. – Fifth-year Jeremiah Smith (Brooklyn, N.Y. / East New York Family Academy) of the Plattsburgh State men’s track and field team broke the outdoor program record in the long jump with a mark of 7.24 meters, finishing second on Day One of the RPI Friday Night Under the Lights & Alumni Meet. As a team, the Cardinals sit in third place with 31 points after the opening day.
