Scarlet Raiders Storm Back for 7-6 Walk-Off Win Over William Paterson
NEWARK, N.J. – The Scarlet Raiders battled back in dramatic fashion, walking off William Paterson, 7-6, in extra innings on Friday afternoon. William Paterson controlled the early portion of the game, building a 4-0 lead through the first two innings and extending it to 5-0 with a run in the top of the seventh before Rutgers-Newark mounted its comeback. Rutgers-Newark responded immediately in the bottom of the seventh, erupting for five runs to even the score at 5-5 and completely shift the momentum.
