River Hawks Compete at Both Friar Invitational and Tufts Spring Invitational
LOWELL, Mass. 鈥� The UMass Lowell women’s outdoor track and field team split up on Friday, taking part in both the Friar Invitational at Providence and the Tufts Spring Invitational at Tufts. Senior Maggie McInerney (Acton, Mass.) kicked off the meet as the lone River Hawk in the 400m dash, finishing in 12 th out of 16 with a 59.65 mark. Next was the 800m open, and junior Emily Burdick (Billerica, Mass.) led the way in fourth out of 29 runners with a 2:16.06 mark, before senior Raihana Yameogo (Dillsburg, Pa.) claimed eighth with a 2:16.95 mark.
