Lady Statesmen Defeat Monteavallo 5-2
CLEVELAND, Miss. 鈥� The Delta State University women’s tennis team secured a 5-2 victory over the University of Montevallo on Friday at Cleveland Country Club, using a strong showing in singles play to pull away after a tightly contested doubles point. Montevallo claimed the doubles point, taking two of the three matches. The Statesmen’s lone win came at No. 2 doubles, where Anastasiia Iakovlieva and Trinity Ly cruised to a 6-1 victory.
