LOWELL, MA -- The NJIT baseball team recorded 10 hits but drop series opener at UMass Lowell, 11-2, on Friday night. The River Hawks struck early, plating four runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Highlanders responded in the third inning when Lorenzo Camilleri delivered an RBI single to score Jack Stead, trimming the deficit to 4-1.
