Head Breaks Program Record in Triple Jump for Women’s Track & Field at Tufts Spring Invitational
MEDFORD, Mass.— First-year Elaina Head (Kailua Kona, Hawaii) broke the program record in the triple jump as the Babson College women’s track & field team competed in seven events on day one of the Tufts Spring Invitational Friday at the Ellis Oval/Zimman Field/Dussault Track. Head produced a mark of 37-feet, 3.25 inches and placed fifth overall, jumping nearly two feet further than her previous best. She broke the mark of 36-feet, 7.75-inches set by senior Trista Sicard (Mansfield, Mass.) at the 2024 New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) championships.
