Billard and Gaden Lead UIS Women鈥檚 Track with Top-10 Finishes at UCM
UIS competed Thursday and Friday at the Kip & Kirk Outdoor Mule Relays, turning in several strong performances across middle-distance and distance races. In the Women's 1500-meter invitational heat, Marissa Roggensack led the Prairie Stars with a 4:53 to place 18th. In the open 1500, Audrey Wagoner finished 42nd in 5:33. In the Women's invitational 5,000-meter run, Josslyn Gaona placed 25th in 18:44. The Prairie Stars closed out Thursday's action in the 10,000 meters, where Mackenzie Billard placed 10th in 39:11 in a solid collegiate debut for the freshman.
