Bats lift Eagles over Toppers
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – On a night when they were needed the most, the Faulkner bats came through in a major way Friday. The Eagles put up crooked numbers in the first, second and seventh innings to notch a 16-9 victory over Blue Mountain Christian. Faulkner lost starting pitcher Brandon Napier in the second inning while trailing 5-4. From there, the offense took over. Jeyson Polanco doubled to left center to plate Jordan Carter and Orlando Arellano . C.J. Robertson then singled through the right side to drive in Edrien Martinez and Polanco for the 8-5 advantage.
