Baseball Drops Opener at Alvernia
READING, Pa. — The bats went quiet early and the pitching staff struggled, as Eastern University Baseball (20-9, 7-6) dropped its series-opener at Alvernia University. The host Golden Wolves (13-16, 5-8) struck for two in the first, two in the third, and four runs in the sixth before the Eagles put together a two-out rally for a pair of runs in the eighth inning. Matthew Gonglik delivered a single to left field to Trent MacDougall and Thomas Kozlusky .
