Baseball Comes Up Short Against Saint Joseph’s, 5-3, In 10 Innings
DAYTON – The University of Dayton baseball team fell to Saint Joseph's 5-3 in extra innings on Friday afternoon. The FlyBoys struck first, scoring on a single from Michael Smith Jr. in the bottom of the third. After the Hawks took a 2-1 lead in the fourth, Smith Jr. tied the game on a single by Colin Lynch. Saint Joseph's regained its lead in the ninth, before a run scored by Mike Lucarelli forced the game into extra innings tied at three apiece.
