HOUSTON – Despite two solo home runs, the Houston Baseball team dropped the first game of its three-game series against BYU on Thursday night, 3-2, at Schroeder Park. Right-fielder Xavier Perez hit his team-leading ninth home run of the season in the third inning. The 408-foot homer tied the game at 1-1 after BYU (16-16, 6-7 Big 12) had scored in the first inning.
