MU Softball Sweeps Scranton
The Misericordia University softball team swept Scranton, Thursday on Anderson Field. The Cougars won 6-0, 10-2 (6 inn) for their eight consecutive win. Gabby Cruz and Morgan Kelly combined on a two-hitter in the opener and the Cougars provided all the needed support in the first inning. Kiersten Tinio and Casey Funesti had two hits and Rylie Nasso drove in a pair of runs in the opener. After allowing a lead-off single, Cruz held the Royals hitless over the next four innings.
