WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Pittsburg State University senior Jack Haukap shattered the school record in the hammer throw Thursday (Apr. 9) at the University of Central Missouri Kip & Kirk Mule Relays. Haukap (Garden Plain, Kan.) unleashed a throw of 230 feet, 6 inches to finish as the top collegiate in the competition. His mark bettered the previous school record of 221-7 set by Levi Wyrick in 2021; and his effort launched him to the top of the NCAA Division II ranks this season.
