Hampden-Sydney Falls To Visiting Averett 6-1
HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. — Junior Thomas Davis (Charlotte, NC) earned a three-set win in singles play, but Hampden-Sydney College fell to Averett University on Thursday afternoon at the H-SC Tennis Courts. Sophomore Jonathan Fogle (Midlothian) and freshman Slade Funderburk (Camden, SC) were the first match to finish in doubles action, with the pair falling 6-2. Senior Casey Coffey (Midlothian) and sophomore Emerson Rice (Columbia, SC) were the next pairing to finish, also falling 6-2.
