Ashland wasted no time asserting itself on Thursday afternoon. Behind a dominant first quarter, the Ashland University women's lacrosse team comfortably rolled past Walsh, 19-5, at Larry Staudt Field. With the win, the Eagles remain unbeaten in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play at 5-0, all while sporting an overall record of 10-4. Ashland broke open a 1-1 game with a "don't blink" 9-0 run in the opening quarter, turning an early deadlock into a 10-1 lead after 15 minutes.
