Alabama A&M Women鈥檚 Basketball to Be Recognized at Huntsville City Council Meeting
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University women's basketball team will be honored by the Huntsville City Council on Thursday evening in recognition of their outstanding 2025鈥�26 season. The Lady Bulldogs, led by head coach Dawn Thornton, will be recognized during the City Council meeting at Huntsville City Hall at 5:30 p.m. Alabama A&M is coming off one of the most successful seasons in program history, highlighted by capturing the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Regular Season Champions title, in addition to going on an 18-game winning streak.
