Women鈥檚 Tennis Falls to Lynchburg, 4-3, in Home ODAC Match
LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph women’s tennis team hosted the University of Lynchburg on Wednesday afternoon. The Hornets edged out the WildCats with a 4-3 win. The Hornets led 1-0 after doubles play. Fleur Gaalman (Abcoude, Utrecht, Netherlands Haarlemmermeer Lyceum Dalton) and Sophia Cahue (Aurora, Il/Metea Valley HS) defeated Isadora Lima and Kayla Kosiorek 6-4 at first doubles. Maddie Mills (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) and Mikayla Smith (Pittsville, Md./Parkside HS) lost a close 7-6 decision to Megan Tinsley and Harper Dodd at third doubles. In singles play, Rachel Combs (Benbrook, Texas/Homeschool) took down Lima in three sets 6-0, 5-7, 7-5 at first singles.…
