Tigers pick up midweek home win
JACKSON, Miss. | Jackson State opened a close game with a seven-run fifth inning to pull away for 13-6 victory Tougaloo in non-conference action at Braddy Field on Tuesday night. Jackson State (15-18) scored a pair of runs in the first two innings to jump ahead 2-0 before Tougaloo tied the game with a Lekeidric Sutton two-run home run in the fourth inning. The Tigers exploded in the bottom of the fifth inning with seven runs to build a 9-2 lead before extending the lead to 13-5 in the eighth inning.
