Sweet Briar Edged Out by Roanoke
SWEET BRIAR, Va. 鈥� The Sweet Briar College tennis team (2-8, 1-6 ODAC) was edged out by the Roanoke College Maroons (6-11, 2-7 ODAC), 4-3, this evening at the Van Der Meer Tennis Center. Roanoke took the doubles point by winning at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, while Sweet Briar’s top team of seniors Lucia Bovard (Mount Pleasant, N.C.) and Alex Guilarte (Barquisimeto, Venezuela) earned the lone doubles win with a 6-4 result at No. 1.
