Southwestern Falls in Doubleheader at Saint Mary
WINFIELD, Kan. — Southwestern dropped both ends of a KCAC doubleheader against Saint Mary on Tuesday, falling 10-2 in six innings in Game 1 before a late run lifted the Spires to a 5-4 win in Game 2. In the opener, Southwestern struck first with two runs in the top of the first, but Saint Mary responded with a four-run fifth inning and broke the game open with six runs in the sixth to secure the run-rule victory.
